I always thought Clarence Thomas was about as bad as they come...Then along comes Kavanaugh and drops that bar several feet.

Neither of them should have ever sniffed SCOTUS nominations, regardless of their judicial records.

There are plenty of judges with equally conservative records, who would decide cases similarly, who are not as morally repugnant and sociopathic in their personal and professional lives as these two.

This is one of the great sins of the GOP Senators, in my opinion, that they confirm nominees like this because the nominees are conservative and ignore that they could get an infinitely better nominee who is equally conservative if only they had any sort of spine and said "no, not this one, choose another."
