So the 60 day "rule"...let me get this straight

You can’t appoint a SCOTUS Justice a year before the election...so theoretically a POTUS only serves 3 years.
But we aren’t in a presidential election year and bad news can’t be exposed to the traitorous deeds of a sitting POTUS.
I know two truths. If we already had elected a different potus and a republican was in office and a SCOTUS Justice died the day after the election, they would appoint a new justice.
They come up with stupid random rules for Democrats.

This is only a rule if the OTHER party rules the Senate. If Repugs own the Senate after 2018, the Trump can nominate justices until Jan 2021.

Or Jan 2025 if he wins re-election.
