Cynthia Nixon caused Big Apple stomachs to turn when she ordered a traditional lox and cream cheese with capers and then had a Zabars counter person pile it all on a cinnamon raisin bagel!
Thats what I want a full load with cream cheese, Nixon responds to the deli worker when he offered tomatoes, onions and capers along with the lox. Sweet and salty, Nixon added proudly.
The gubernatorial hopeful who will face Andrew Cuomo in Thursdays Democratic primary was shopping for lunch at the smoked fish mecca Sunday when she made the unconventional choice.
And her spokeswoman said the unconventional choice was just an example of the candidates support of the underrepresented and the atypical.
Cynthia Nixon is running to represent those forgotten New Yorkers who need someone to stand up for their views, a tongue-in-cheek Rebecca Katz tweeted on Nixons behalf. New Yorkers need someone to stand up for their view, even if those opinions are out of the mainstream or even unpopular.

(46,166 posts)I'm sure people have it the regular, plain way and then put sugar in their coffee to have on the side. What's the difference? I say - go for it, Cynthia, lol.

(15,320 posts)I think I even remember it ordered on cinnamon raisin a time or two and thinking that was gross. This would have been back in the 90s.

New Yorkers have to be the most peculiar, obnoxious sort when it comes to food.
