Democrats need to be campaigning on the tax cuts.

It might seem like Congressional Republicans are the ones to benefit from reminding voters about the tax "cuts" passed last year. But there is data that supports the talking point that the new tax bill just gives rich individuals and business a break while forcing everyone else to make up the difference.

In the latest budget deficit release, somewhat buried by the eye-popping headline numbers, is the fact that over the past 11 months (FY 2018), tax receipts from individuals has INCREASED 4%, while tax receipts from businesses has DECREASED 30%. That's a powerful message for voters to get heading into the polls.
