***Trump's approval rating just sank in 8 polls***

The new numbers mark the president’s lowest approval rating in six months.
By Jane Coastonjane.coaston@vox.com Sep 11, 2018, 11:40am EDT

President Donald Trump’s approval ratings have dropped precipitously in eight major polls, hitting their lowest point in six months. Trump’s declining popularity with voters outside of the Republican Party may put Republicans’ hopes of holding the House in jeopardy.

Eight polling entities — ABC News/Washington Post, CNN, Gallup, IBD/TIPP, the Kaiser Family Foundation, Quinnipiac University, Selzer & Co. and Suffolk University — give the president an average approval rating of 38 percent, a drop of 3 points from Trump’s previous approval polling average, 41 percent.

Only Rasmussen gives the president a total approval rating above 45 percent. Unlike other polling services, Rasmussen polls likely voters using automated calls made to landlines, which means those polled tend to be older and more likely to vote for the GOP.

Fintan O’Toole: Trial runs for fascism are in full flow
Babies in cages were no ‘mistake’ by Trump but test-marketing for barbarism

Fintan O'Toole

snip...

Fascism does not need a majority – it typically comes to power with about 40 per cent support and then uses control and intimidation to consolidate that power. So it doesn’t matter if most people hate you, as long as your 40 per cent is fanatically committed. That’s been tested out too. And fascism of course needs a propaganda machine so effective that it creates for its followers a universe of “alternative facts” impervious to unwanted realities. Again, the testing for this is very far advanced.

The dems absolutely must regain control of at least one Chamber in November.

Without control of the house, tRump will be powerless to initiate any spending bills, and will be subject to impeachment.

tRump is as in-effective as he would be in jail. Because the constitution requires that ALL spending bills must originate in the House.

Most Americans aren't paying all that much close attention, but the portrait of Trump as incompetent and unfit has been seeping into public consciousness for awhile now. I think the Manafort trial and verdict in addition to the family seperation policy marked the real turning point. I don't think Trump can really recover.

Seeing as how 80 to 90 percent of republicans approve of Dotard and the rest of the not Fox brainwashed public is moving rapidly the other way.

I can see the oh so faint smile on Schiff's face now as he takes the gavel from Devin Nunes (CA-Traitor)!

We should have a poll on how many subpoenas will be issued the first week!!

Most people don't vote in mid-terms. I guarantee that a large percentage of US adults don't even know this is an election year.

In addition to fighting voter suppression and gerrymandering, we have got to do something about ignorance and apathy. I don't know what exactly, but it starts with schools.
