When a political party becomes a clear and present danger to the institutional bedrock upon which our very lives depend we seem to say, ho hum, not my problem.
Well it is your problem and my problem. We have become lackadaisical, witless and listless bystanders to the execution of democracy by hired hit men and women of the Republican Party. Cash on the barrel head as the saying goes. The Russians seem to have figured out the magic formula for destroying their great enemy. Just feedm enough cash until they sink due to the weight.
Trump is only a symptom of and a stalking horse for the usurpation of our rule of law and the institutional eviseration of normal governance. Sort of a hey look over here at the crazy person running things, he is the one doing all the unspeakable things. Things that of course we as republicans dont agree with. But hey, what can ya do when yer leader is nuts?
What the republicans could do is their job. Their oath sworn job. Uphold and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. But thats not what they have chosen as a path to follow. In their malevolent greed they have chosen, collectively, to adhere to the clarion call of cash and power, greed and fear, avarice and hate.
A clear and present danger to our nation is what the republicans have become, intentionally so.
