This Manafort plea deal and his agreement to cooperate with Special Counsel Mueller is the biggest event to happen in this investigation thus far. This is truly a bombshell!
Not only does he know what happened in the Trump Tower meeting, he knows what happened on the Convention floor when the rules were changed to help his old ally, the Ukraine. Also, he is reportedly pleading guilty to money laundering, witness tampering, and other charges that will be dropped for his cooperation.
Mr Manafort has bragged in the past that he has known Donald Trump for more than 20 years. He knows a lot about the Trump business dealings around the world. The pardon that he so desired does not appear to be in the cards. This is the big fish in the pond. Donald Trump must be very, very concerned at this moment.

(54,770 posts)While I hope Mannie rots in prison for crud he did years ago, what I really care about it is info that brings trump down. I'm not sure what that is going to be other than just more evidence trump hires crooks, racists, traitors, and worse. GOPers don't seem to care about that.

(23,099 posts)They have a "mutual defense" agreement, I think that's what it's called where anything Manforts' lawyers learn is shared with drumpfs' lawyers. As long as that agreement is in force, I think this could a farce just so save Manafort a ton of $$. I'm hoping part of the Mueller/Manafort agreement is that the agreement & the relationship between the Manafort/drumpf lawyers has to be terminated immediately and nothing can be shared or the agreement is null and trial on all the charges will commence..

(28,347 posts)My old eyes have the hardest time reading pdf files that are embedded inside a web page. I appreciate the direct link you provided to the actual file. Now I can enlarge it a bit. YAY!
How did you do that? How did you take the pdf out of the web page, or where did you find a good pdf file link?
I hope you understand my question. I'm kinda loopy at the moment, as I just got home from another round of chemo. So I'm a snit out of sorts.
Anyway, it looks like there's plenty of interesting (disgusting) items to read in there, which will probably make our blood boil.

(111,092 posts)In the first paragraph:
"The special counsel's office has filed a superseding criminal information in the case against Paul Manafort. The document is available here and below. The plea agreement and statement of offense are also available below."
The word 'here" is highlighted in a different color.

I guess I should look for a link when I come across a pdf file inside a website. They really are difficult to read.
