Donny Deutsch: Male Senators Grilling 'Attempted Rape' Victim is 'Lose-Lose' Situation for GOP

he current political debate over the confirmation process of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh amid allegations of sexual assault 35 years ago has presented a tricky political situation for Republicans eager to proceed with a confirmation vote scheduled for this Thursday.

At least that’s the take of Morning Joe contributor Donny Deutsch, who put about as fine a point on the complicated, nuanced and fluid political situation surrounding the Supreme Court nominee.

“The Republicans are in a lose/lose,” Deutsch explained before painting a picture of a “Republican male grilling, investigating, putting on the pressure a victim who something in your gut tells you this is not being made up.”

He added: “How do you go at her? Picture women watching at home. And all women in some form or another have felt victimized in their life. This is an extreme case, attempted rape. Watching women at home watching every one of those male Republicans grill and attack this victim. Boy, I would not like to be one of those questioners and have to answer to women in my district or anywhere.”

He finished his point by noting that “women are taking over this country” before professing his opinion that “women’s guts are even better than men’s guts.” His advice to Republican? “Duck, do the right thing and say look at the very least you have to hear this thing through but I would not want to be one of those men attacking this woman in front of the nation.”

Fellow contributor Kasie Hunt added at the end of the segment that there are no female Republican members of the Senate Judiciary committee.

The Senate race is very close in Texas. Beto is picking up steam.

Women everywhere will be watching these Senate Republican men make disgusting, misogynist spectacles of themselves.

Cruz could very well sink his own ship! This hearing has the potential flip the Senate!
