I used to be a stockbroker. Brokers have a "U4" Cops need a U4.

[A HERETIC I AM]

A U-4 is basically a record of malfeasance or impropriety. Every single holder of a trading license that works for a Broker Dealer in the US has one. It is by law regularly updated to reflect recent transgressions and to show any "Statutory Disqualifying Event", which includes unethical or illegal behavior. Get a complaint from a client? Goes on the U-4. Accused and found culpable of a trading infraction? Goes on the U-4. Fired because you knowingly recommended poor investment choices to a client because of a high commission percentage? Goes on the U-4.

ANYONE can access ANY brokers U-4, from casual curiosity to potential client to branch manager, etc. Since the SEC places great responsibility on a firms compliance department to ensure no rules or laws are broken, and as such to continue to do their best to keep the public's trust in the industry, Broker Dealers WILL NOT HIRE a licensed broker with an egregious U-4.

Police officers in the United States need a U-4 system, full stop. And they need it NOW.

Oklahoma Police Chief Resigns Over Neo-Nazi Ties, Gets Job in Neighboring Police Force


Bart Alsbrook resigned as interim police chief of an Oklahoma town late last August, after he was revealed as the former leader of a neo-Nazi group. One year later, he has a job at a different police department 15 miles away.

Alsbrook, 50, is the former Texas coordinator of Blood & Honour USA, a racist skinhead group with neo-Nazi ties. He also ran a pair of neo-Nazi video and music companies and a skinhead website glorifying pictures of racist beatdowns, and was charged with the attempted murder of another skinhead—but had his case dropped when the alleged victim refused to testify. Those ties came to light when Alsbrook was named interim police chief of Colbert, Oklahoma last year, leading him to resign under pressure. Now he’s landed another job in a nearby police department. And this town says he’s there to stay.

The recurring instances of police officers fired or resigning for ...well...fucking CRIMES that are then REHIRED ELSEWHERE is a fucking disgrace. All cops records should be as easily accessible to the public as the stockbroker down the street.

Sorry, but fuck the "thin blue line" (which is a god damned myth, if you ask me) and fuck any cop who does not stop another cop from being an asshole, however that manifests itself. Bad people will do bad things, and no number of policemen can change that. Cops exist to protect the property rights of the wealthy and to intimidate everyone else.

Yeah? Well I WON'T FUCKING NEED ONE, EVER! The only reason I would ever call the police and summon them to my home is if I find a dead body. That's it. If I'm robbed, fuckit, but otherwise I will never call the police for any reason. All they will do is make a bad situation worse.

this story seems to be the norm rather than exception for Cop's who screw up. Just get another PD to hire you and away you go. Sure others have seen this happen.

2. Happened in my neighborhood.

Asshole cop rented a house near us. everyone I talked to said he was a bully who was fired from our police dept. a few years back. He was working for another nearby town but living here.
Refused to keep his dog under control, told any neighbors who complained that they should just stop being outside and walking on the street, that they were "tempting " his free range dog to rush at them and attack their dogs.
Eventually enough neighbors complained that animal control came out and laid the law down, we had a recent lease law passed.
She wrote him up. She knew all about him, since Animal control is under the Police Dept. here.

He lost his job at the near by town, because people here know people there, for generations, and word eventually gets out about everyone. Our neighbors happened to be people who work for and are involved in the city gov. in various ways.

He moved, after just a few months, 40 miles away to another lil town, is now a cop there.

3. Few years ago we lived in

another City. One of the Local Cops was known to hassle Teenage Girls. Coming home from work,noticed this Cop had pulled over a couple of Girls and he was doing a mega invasive pat down,(feeling them up) just happened to be stopped at the stop sign a few yards back. Found out later,this Guy was known to all the Girls in town,when one them complained to her mother,who was not a member of the Local Cult,then and only then did things change. As more and more Girls came forward,this Guy was allowed to resign without charges only to go to the Albuquerque PD with a status up grade .
