Right-wingers screw it up royally, again...

You'd think they'd do a LITTLE checking, nope.

Right-wing media massively fails in attempt to smear Kavanaugh accuser — and targets the wrong Christine Ford

Right-wing media personality Matt Drudge on Monday completely crashed and burned in his latest attempt to smear Christine Blasey Ford, who has gone on the record to accuse Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of trying to rape her when they were both teenagers,

Specifically, Drudge promoted an article at Grabien News claiming to show that Ford got poor ratings from her students, some of whom purportedly described her as having a “dark personality” on the Rate My Professors website.

However, doing the slightest bit of detective work reveals that the article is targeting the wrong person.

In fact, the RateMyProfessors page refers to a Christine A. Ford, who taught at the social work department at California State University Fullerton, and who actually received only five reviews — two of which rated her as “awesome,” two of which rated her as “average,” and only one of which rated her as “awful.”

Christine Blasey Ford, meanwhile, is a professor of clinical psychology at Palo Alto University who has never worked at Fullerton.

the Heritage Foundation long ago made up a list of candidates for Trump to draw from. Kavanaugh wasn't on it, nor was he on an update. He was added around the time the special investigation was opened.

What's come out since makes it clear he must have been considered unconfirmable. Then something changed and they determined to try to misuse their power to ram him quickly through, before evidence from his unsavory past could be uncovered by press and/or Democrats.

Remember all the documentation the Republicans have hidden and refuse to provide for the judicial committee? There's enormous money and expertise behind all this, and they would have investigated everything he told them and far beyond in an attempt to at least temporarily suppress all evidence they could find that might keep him from from being confirmed.

Btw, funniest and longest I've ever seen McConnell speak was today in his upset at Ms. Ford only stepping forward now, when they were on the eve of confirming him.

Also btw, I looked, and the average period for a confirmation procedure is 67 days, just short of 10 weeks. Kavanaugh's confirmation began on September 4, meaning tomorrow will be 2 weeks. If they want 8 weeks to swiftboat her, they have them. They're just not the particular 8 weeks they would have chosen.
