Edmund Burke Said it Best...

Last edited Thu Sep 20, 2018, 10:28 AM - Edit history (2)

Burke once said: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men should do nothing.”

To update that quote from 1920 to the proper evolution of the 100 years since Sr. R Murray Hyslop said that, we can add after the word "men" the two words "and women".

But, in the end, it is an exact understanding of the America we live in today.

The earliest attribution of the modern saying to Edmund Burke was found by top researcher Barry Popik. In July of 1920 a man named Sir R. Murray Hyslop delivered an address at a Congregational church conference that included the following: 3 Burke once said: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men should do nothing.”

Those few who create drama force the rest into it. They make enough noise and you have to be pulled out of your shell. You want them to leave you alone and just live their lives, but they insist on making drama.
