(10,721 posts)There's no way the percentage of undecideds is that low when we're still 7 weeks out.

(30,613 posts)People here are skeptical types. Not a comment on the OP, just an observation that many of us tend to scrutinize every poll pretty sharply.

New GOP polling firm to launch By ALEXANDER BURNS 04/21/2014 05:02 AM EDT
A small group of top Washington Republicans is teaming up to launch a new polling firm, Vox Populi Polling, that will churn out volumes of survey data ahead of the 2014 midterm elections.
The firm plans to produce both public and private polling, tracking high-priority 2014 races and issue debates. It will employ a combination of automated polling and live-caller methodology to reach cell phone users, according to strategists involved in the effort.
Mary Cheney, the political strategist and daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, is among the firms half-dozen partners. Joining her in the enterprise are longtime GOP operative Barry Bennett, Americans for Job Security president Stephen DeMaura and Frank Sadler of Cove Strategies, as well as Alicia Downs and Brent Seaborn of TargetPoint Consulting.

(10,721 posts)The percentage of undecideds is never that low this far out from an election.
As crazy as it seems, there are always people who are either genuinely undecided or don't pay attention until the last minute.

(37,748 posts)But I get it... it's garbage and any further critical examination is a waste of time.
One data point in question would lead most people to examination prior to criticism. But here, well... I'm never disappointed by how clever people believe themselves to be.

(51,780 posts)That will NOT be good for him in the midterms. I hope Beto and the Dems run a ton of anti-GOP/Kavanaugh ads in the state where it is super close. This could put Beto over the top if he runs with it.

(36,540 posts)It's the fence sitters, the reasonable Texas citizens that are starting to see the light, and they just may drop by one of Beto's "it's so good it should be illegal" BBQ shindigs.

(3,479 posts)the Quinnipiac poll that had Cruz winning easily. That poll also had a low number or undecideds (1%).
If a GOP-poll has the race tied it doesn't guarantee anything. But make no mistake, IT'S GOOD NEWS.
