Election fraud, conspiring to defraud the United States, campaign financing fraud, lying, debauchery, corruotion. rqcketeering, ....
I am incredulous. Absolutely flabbergasped, and we put up with it. WTF?
I keep thinking back to "Our Man In Havanna" and how Graham Greene identified a third world "torturable class".who could be tortured because they allow it. We are allowing ourselves to be abused. We are tolerating it whether it's the religious right, or the Kochs, or spineless Republican lackeys, or Unindicted Co-Conspirator, or Vladimir Putin. It is going down and we allow them to get away with it.

(7,397 posts)I truly believe that Mueller will unravel a thread that will take years to come to an end (fed and state). But first things first. The crime family. Then the enablers. This is a long haul folks. Don't think 11/18 is the silver bullet. It is just a bullet.

(60,010 posts)We are a so-called democracy where actions other than voting, protesting, filing class action lawsuits are not sanctioned.
Our constitution allows and even suggests "the blood of patriots" is needed from time to time.
But in today's environment, with the WH egging on armed right wing factions, I hope it never comes to that.
gonna be interesting to see what happens between now and the mid-term elections.

(23,945 posts)for what it's worth, i agree with your premise (Republican Party is a criminal enterprise)
a lot of people are working 40+ hours each week and have families to raise and bills to pay
are we supposed to ditch all that and engage in some form of ad hoc protest? we're supposed to be able to vote them out, but that hasn't been working so well lately...
what do you propose? remember, much state and local law enforcement favors Republicans and will not act to prevent their numerous crimes. how do we respond?

(11,746 posts)I am one of abput 330 milliom. I am not a leader amd don't aspire to be. Not everyone can be leaders. In fact followers are more important than leaders.
I am old enoigh to remember when public service was respected. The Repiblican criminal enterprise has been most succesful at eroding that public perception even among those who purport to be liberal.
How about getting behind our leaders? How about uniting against an evil, common enemy? How about cutting the crap and the cults of personality and the idiotic ad hominem attacks that I see so often?

The cool thing about RICO, is that all their assets would be forfeited, in addition to any other penalities.
