Be willing to risk a broken heart.

Some of us are tempted to retreat into the shelter of cynicism lately when asked our opinion about nearly anything political. There have been damned few "slam dunk" outcomes recently and the wheels of justice sometimes seem to not just "grind slowly", but to grind to a complete stop. And, so, we slip into a sort of defensive pessimism: we expect the worst so we won't have to bear the pain of dashed hopes and unrealized expectations---again.

Let's risk possibly being wrong. Let's take the chance that by the very act of voicing our optimism we can influence events; that saying the good guys are gonna win may infact help them do just that.

A heart that's never been broken has not been fully engaged.

This country really has been through worse.

Come November, a mere two months away the tide will turn as our side starts winning.

Trump and his ilk don’t deserve to have power. All they do with is dishonest and bad for the country.
