4. It would really taint the reputation and the legitimacy of the court

if the GOP ram his appointment through despite these allegations. But they don't care as long as they get their guy and his retrograde judicial philosophy. But I wonder how the other justices will work with him, especially Roberts. This court has his name on it, after all; will he try to control Kavanaugh's looniest legal theories?
