Sen. Feinstein Calls for 'Immediate Postponement' of Kavanaugh Proceeding in Wake of New Allegation
Sen. Dianne Feinstein is calling for an “immediate postponement” of proceedings related to the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in wake of the new allegation of sexual misconduct reported Sunday night by The New Yorker.
In a letter to Sen. Chuck Grassley, she called for an “immediate postponement of any further proceedings.”
In addition, she called for the new allegation to be investigated by the FBI.
“I also ask that the newest allegations of sexual misconduct be referred to the FBI for investigation, and that you join our request for the White House to direct the FBI to investigate the allegations of Christine Blasey Ford as well as these new claims,” Feinstein wrote.
