I don't believe him. He wouldn't answer questions. Just repeated himself and his poor wife looked terrified.

(63,221 posts)Completely canned answers. I can't stand that lying bastard. His wife is pathetic as well - she is nothing more than an enabler.
I can't even say what I really want to say. This man make me want to take a chainsaw to the screen.

(36,498 posts)I'm convinced he repeated his same canned responses, like, two, or even three times. The White House totally over rehearsed him. Sad.

(63,221 posts)None of his answers were sincere. He just kept repeating the same bullshit lines over and over again. A clear sign that he is lying.

(36,498 posts)It was only after I seemed to be hearing the same things more than once, I started paying closer attention. It was weird and stilted the way it was coming across, and I was wondering if the studio was looping it. Doing that interview was a horrible mistake, and why in the Hell did he drag his wife into it? Sad and pathetic.

As an aside, his wife looks like she could be his sister.

Kavanaugh was born on Feb. 12, 1965. He would be 18 on Feb 12, 1983.
Maryland raised their drinking age, from 18 to 21 on January 1, 1982. He was under-aged all four years. (Must be with your parent, a teacher or spouse to be legal.) I doubt priests and RAs would take the responsibility of a drinking party in a Catholic school.
Connecticut (Yale) had graduated drinking age. January 1982 was 19; January 1983 raised to 20; January 1985 raised to 21.

During the FOX News interview, he said:
"Yes, there were parties and the drinking age was 18," Kavanaugh said. "And yes, the seniors were legal and had beer there. And yes, people might have had too many beers on occasion. And people generally, in high school, I think all of us have probably done things. We look back on in high school and regret or cringe a bit."
I saw the clip on Lawrence O'Donnell's show tonight at the 10:38 mark.

If you get a chance, watch his analysis of that FOX Interview. It's pretty sad.
