False argument: if Kav isn't confirmed, they'll just confirm someone who is even more right wing

Hearing this bullshit argument on MSNBC.

Fact: anyone tRump nominates and the Senate confirms is going to be a conservative, most likely a raging conservative. There’s nothing we can do about that.

However, what they will NOT be is a combination of who and what Kavanaugh is:

- an accused sex abuser

- a person put on the court SPECIFICALLY to shield tRump from indictment

- a person who has perjured himself numerous times before the Senate

- a person who will vote to overturn Roe

- a person who spent decades as a dirty tricks operative for the GOP

Let them nominate someone farther to the right of Kavanaugh. They will all vote the same way when it comes to policy. It’s Kavanaugh’s extra baggage that is the problem here.

presidential candidate.

The FACT that Roe and Griswold and practically all other rights are gone is a done deal, for now.

We may get them back someday, maybe.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

did NOT have to happen

And if they are not ALL gone, they could be...which is the FUCKING POINT

But I still think it's more important to prevent his appointment.

Will be far easier than trying to remove him later. And removing him wouldn't undo any of the damage he might (probably will) do while he's there, especially if it involves Trump/Russia.

Once the Supremes reverse the Appellate court's findings Trump will be able to pardon whoever he wants -- those convicted of Federal crimes and also those convicted of state crimes.

It's called the "Keep Junior Out of Jail" case.

Trump has to stand for re-election in 2 years at which time the American public can vote him out (plus a Democratic Congress can help constrain him for the next 2 years if they win one or both chambers). Kavanaugh would be on the Court for the rest of his life or until he retires and would require an extraordinary vote in Congress to remove him, something BTW is not likely to happen with Trump either.

Democrats should learn a lesson from Republicans and use delay as a weapon.

It would be nice to at least get someone who isn't from the Federalist Society bench, if such a conservative exists.

That is the key reason they are working so hard to get this guy on board. Kavajerk has sold his soul to the GOP and Trump and will vote however they want him to as long as he is confirmed.
