I dont understand Republican thinking.

The Republicans new defense, in saying, "a normal person would immediately call the police, or stop going to these parties."

Sure, myself as an adult I would immediately call the police. Or of course I would never hang out with these people.

However, they are not looking at this through 13-17 year old eyes like when it happened though. How many kids are gonna narc out their friends, or risk being a social outcast by speaking up. Especially with this group of narcissists we are talking about.

They also in full blown victim shaming mode. These people disgust me.

I am always guilty of, hoping out for the best. That there will be a Republican who will take a stand and say, "No, this isnt right." "We need to at least need to have an investigation prior to confirming Kavanaugh."

What doesnt make sense to me, (in addition to the other things listed here) is why are they gonna sink themselves on this guy? Even if you remove every scummy accusation against him. There are still other VALID reasons why he should have a "real FBI investigation" into him. Not just an FBI background check which obviously doesnt turn things like this up.

The people who are accusing these women are gonna get a fastpass to hell.

Seven Holton alums recently shared their experiences of sexual assault with me. Many had not spoken of the incidents since they occurred in high school or shortly thereafter. All of them said that they had not widely shared their stories out of shame, embarrassment, and fear of backlash. And they all felt compelled to come forward now to support their fellow alum, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, and to change the culture of silence and misogyny they’ve experienced

between narking out your fellow students, and just refusing to either go to these parties, or at least, bring your own beverage and not consuming the spiked punch.

And the third accuser never did say that she took her own beverage. My reading of the declaration is that she repeatedly went to these parties, and it resulted in her abuse. I hate to play "blame the victim", but that is precisely what Republicons will do, so very deftly, if they ever get her before a committee hearing.
