of flying. And yet, they fly. They take a couple of Xanax pills, get on the plane, and go where they need to go. They're always on the verge of panic, but they fly despite that.
In fact, most people who are afraid of flying will get on a plane if where they're going is important to them. They hate every minute of it, are fearful the entire time, and have to rely on medication to get through it.
Dr. Ford is one such person. She flew because it was more important to go there and testify than her fear of doing so.
For me, that's a solid mark of character in her. She could have remained silent about this from the beginning, but didn't, because it was important for her to tell her story.
