Hey-how is everybody? We've had one hell of a day.

I’m having a martini and resolving to indulge in some extreme self care over the next few days.

We had quite the day. I saw a woman whose simple grace transcended all the bullshit. No matter what, like Barack Obama, like other cockeyed optimists, like dreamers and revolutionaries and good people everywhere, I’ll keep on.

He looks kind of pickled like Steve Bannon - sort of red and blotchy.

I am an optimist all around. I don't think he will be confirmed.

Even if he is, the Republicans have convinced even more women to vote Democratic in November. And Kavanaugh clearly perjured himself throughout this process. The Statute of Limitations on perjury is 5 years. Long enough for the next Democratic administration to prosecute him.

I'll be somewhat distracted over the next 3 days (long drive, helping my in-laws load a moving truck, long drive). But I'm worried sick. And I'm pissed. This whole process, such as not hearing from the other accusers and there not being an FBI investigation, is a travesty.

If Kavanaugh is not confirmed, I will breathe a sigh of relief and celebrate. If he is confirmed, I'll be well beyond pissed.

and that I was diagnosed with an illness which will kill me in a few years, that is if I even make it until then since I have the ACA and Kavanaugh is going to kill that off too. Not having to live and watch my country go down the tubes is the silver lining of an early death. Until that happens though, I am doing my activist duty and fight them like crazy. RESISTANCE is PATRIOTISM!

Left in 2015, now I hardly recognise the place. It is the boiling frog syndrome. The USA is not too big to fail. The Union is bleeding to the bone.
