"Not guilty" was the correct verdict in Kangaroo Court. The media and Democrats got bamboozled...

The only flaw in the logic is this was NOT a criminal trial! Cross examination limited to 5 minutes by 21 mostly men making mostly speeches was the second clue!? The first was...two witnesses? Different examiners?

How can there even be corroboration if the only evidence allowed is oral testimony under these bizarre politicized circumstances? A real court bans politics.

Flake? What the fuck are you talking about? Did anyone think the criminal standard was met? And now your plea is ts fake not guilty verdict is your excuse to vote yes?

Yet a verdict was reached and Republicans insist the fake beyond reasonable doubt standard was not met. They are right!

Fake trial, fake verdict, now the fake spin based on the fake premise this was a real criminal trial.

The logic...is...sad.

But the political consequences will be even sadder for Republicans from here to eternity.

Just do it...you get the Supreme Court swamp, we get every election from now to forever ...See you in November and then every two years!

In truth this was a trial of character and confidence and trust and faith in the highest Court of the land...and the verdict is clear....Guilty of not meeting the high standard of being worthy...beyond reasonable doubt.

We should run with that because that is the truth.

The only reason can be what it always is...they want to keep the next election a horse race, close horse races attract a lot of players willing to lay down millions on political ad bets.

Look at every non competitive race in the country...the local media is starved of ad dollars, but the local media in competitive races is drowning in money.

The media is hopelessly conflicted.

5. clarence thomas confirmation circus on steroids.

same thing happened. partisan hack, widely seen as unqualified. he had less than 2 years experience as a judge. mostly he had been an administrator, mostly at the eeoc, where he was generally seen as cutting back on enforcement, in particular doing away with class actions.

but then the anita hill accusations turned it into a sexual harassment circus, and the confirmation vote was reframed. instead of "is he qualified to sit on the supreme court" it became "was he proven not proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt"?

so an unqualified hyper-partisan *sshole now sits on the supreme court because a brief senate hearing couldn't prove him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

and now the same thing is about to happen with kavanaugh. he has somewhat more judicial experience, but his views are even more partisan and controversial, and he's accused of multiple things much worse than what thomas was accused of.

but his qualifications don't matter. against they are framing the question as if, he wasn't proven guilty, therefore you have to put him on the supreme court for life.
