Seeing Lindsey Graham's face - the pointing and rage...

Reminded me of every time a male boss humiliated or tried to humiliate me because he was more powerful. Usually they were irrational and often wrong. But I was the underling dependent on them for a job.

I remember those feelings. I wonder how many other women have experienced that too. I hope they remember in November.

Both during basic training (we had a real creep of a LTJG whose hatred of women in the military was beyond obvious) and afterwards.

I've seen that kind of rage, though. It's from men absolutely flabbergasted that they can't just get their own way.

I have experienced being the target of rage from a boss who blamed his incompetence on me. I didn't deserve his hysteria by any means.

It was my first job out of college.

I wanted to crawl into a hole and die. If that happened to me now, I would speak up, but back then I was too flabbergasted to know what to do or say.

It's indeed an extremely humiliating experience that I'll never forget.

I just didn't have the words or the nerve to speak up. He was a tenured professor and me a lowly fresh out of college lab tech. I just wanted to crawl into a hole.

The looks on Graham and Kavanaugh’s faces triggered something in me. While I was never yelled at by my bosses, I was the victim of horrible racism back in high school. Those ugly faces yesterday reminded me of the racist white guys who used to scream at me and my family when we walked by. (I was born in the US, but lived in a small rural town in Canada from 1963-1980. Unbeknownst to most Americans, the mid 1970s was the height of racial backlash against brown people/East Indians in Canada.)

I couldn’t sleep last night. I refuse to turn on the tv today. I’m getting my news from DU and Twitter.

He could just be auditioning for attorney general

But I'm starting to believe he really is being blackmailed
