Let's talk about the meme of the "Spineless Democrat" for a minute.

Now indulge me here, but after this week I think it's time we retire the meme of the "spineless democrat". That meme is so old it can vote, and if it did it would probably vote democrat.

So here's the thing - you know who came off looking spineless this week? Lindsay Graham and Brett Kavanaugh. Lindsay Graham is so psychotic that he could kill you with a single glance. That is if we took the phrase "if looks could kill" literally. Brett Kavanaugh on the other hand was so busy not justifying that he had a drinking problem that he made everyone else around him want a drink!

You know who had the spine? The people realizing that this was one of the worst SCOTUS nominees in American history. You know who didn't? The people trying to justify it! And the people putting Trump and Kavanaugh on this "holier than thou" pedestal. These are the people lacking a spine. If these people had been around during the revolutionary war, we'd still be under British rule.

I have been very proud of every single Democratic senator on the Judiciary Committee.They have fought this nomination with heart,facts and attempted procedural intervention.They haven't been going off on political screeds and showboating (ok maybe Corey Booker).But the rest have been so impressive with their legal knowledge and fight for the Supreme Court. I'm proud to have them on our side.
