Summary:

Moviepass switched to a new plan in August. If you opt in, you get the new plan. If you let the old plan expire, your account gets cancelled.

Now Moviepass has changed tracks: If you have let your old plan expire, Moviepass is now signing you up for a new plan for $9.95 a month. The new plan doesn't expire: You have to specifically opt out of it.

Curiously, even people who had deliberately canceled their old Moviepass plan had gotten an email where Moviepass said that they are now signed up again for the new plan.
