Suppose a reasonable investigative team, aka: FBI, had done a reasonable investigation prior to the seanate judiciary committee hearing? Ah, you say, then no such hearing would ever have gotten started.
The republicans have gotten used to scamming, cheating and obfuscation in their conning of the American people. They are stunned into incredulity when challenged. Witness Lindsey Grahams shameful out burst lambasting Democrats for doing their job, aka due diligence. He looked like a child having a grocery store tantrum.
The republicans tried once again to shit on America, this time they got caught with their pants down. What a bunch of dumbasses, this is the best legal person you could come up with for the Supreme Court seat? Good grief.

(10,021 posts)A justice that believes it is fine to lie to make it easier to get what you want (or feel you are entitled to) is NOT a justice we as a country should have on the Supreme Court.
During his confirmation hearing Kavanaugh also spewed hatred for the Clintons and the "left" and showed he has no intention of being impartial. This is FAR more important than if his young adult drinking days and behavior (which he lied about) would be prosecutable.
