The fact is we allow ourselves to live under an antiquated election system that cedes HUGE influence and power to tiny population islands, as a result, we get the Electoral College and all of its wonderful vestitages of the slavery trade and issues of the 18th century as a way of selecting 21st century leaders.

The reflection we are seeing is that of 45% of our population; roughly 77,000 of whom happened to live in vulnerable states where their voting and showing up was enough to outweigh the decision of more than 3,000,000 other citizens on the question of "who should lead this diverse and fractured nation - the pussy grabber or the immensely qualified woman.

I hate Trump as much as anyone, but we have to own the fact that he IS our national reflection of the moment for the right wing...bitter, hateful, out of useful ideas and immune to introspection.
