Makes you wonder what else the FBI background checks are missing?

They missed a lot about Kav. and they checked him 6 times. My guess is they don't go deep when they are of the elite crowd.

falling down drunk at work or get a lot of DWIs. He never would have made it this far if he hadn't learned at least some self control. My father drank heavily, but mostly at home.

Remember, a substantial portion of Kavanaugh's records from his time working for Kenneth Starr and the Whitewater investigation as well as his time working for the Bush administration has been withheld as "committee confidential" or "executive privilege." Democrats tried right off the bat to go into executive (closed) session to ask Kavanaugh about the committee confidential material, but that motion was ignored or ruled out of order by Chairman Grassley.

In addition, the material that has been put on ice in the name of executive privilege hasn't even made it to the committee. I don't know if the FBI has access to any of these records to conduct their investigation, but if they can't review any of this material, it certainly handicaps what they may be able to determine about Kavanaugh's fitness. Maybe this is an issue that should be more prominently aired than heretofore?
