for trump and repubs, it is power and greed. for the followers, it is envy and bitterness

There are two parts to this - the conductor of this sick orchestra, wallowing in narcissism and psychological dysfunction - and his power at all cost hypocrites (republican politicians).

For those who support and vote for them, there is certainly a huge element of hypocrisy - but there is also the bitterness and envy of being left behind due to ignorance, laziness, other factors such as racism and fear and brainwashing - but they I believe see this as some sick sort of revenge. They just want to take us all down to their pathetic, groveling level.

2. Agree - this post is right on. But I think the conductor is not the false president

He doesn't even know the countries' names, their leaders, or his current wife's name. He couldn't order Burger King delivery if his cholesterol depended on it.

He does know how to take orders from those who hold him and his family hostage. He does know that when he lets them down, his demise will be swift.

Even if (er, When) the GOP "useful idiot" supporters get nada, they will still have the "satisfaction" of having supported the "winners", which is *something*. And that makes them better off than the dems.
