Somehow I think that if a progressive candidate for SCOTUS, while at their confirmation hearing,

had screamed they were being persecuted by a cabal of Bush/Rove/Cheney Koch brothers supporters the hearing would have ended on the spot with no vote even scheduled.

Wait, what's a hearing asks Merrick Garland?
