Earlier today, I thought my Republican Congressman, John Shimkus, must be in town.

Turns out, it was just my upwind neighbor spreading cow manure on his just-picked cornfield.

Such is life in the country.

Cannot STAND him! His Bible Verse Of the Day tweet is nauseating. I'm in Champaign County, in a really strongly GOP town. Not gonna lie, I honestly can't think of anyplace in the 15th that isn't. I truly think we are stuck with Shimkus until he decides to retire. Rumor has it that is not too far off.

As for Davis in the 13th, I have been actively working to get that snide little shit out of office. I met him at a League of Women Voters forum last time around and I can't stomach him. He's pompous and just over the top arrogant. We've had great good fun trolling him across the district with Flat Rodney's Big Adventure for the last 18 months. I saw where Obama endorsed Betsy Dirkson Londrigan just recently. That made me happy!
