Kavanaugh supporters held a ‘rally’ for him. Only 6 people showed up
*Six protesters assembled on Capitol Hill Thursday morning, brandishing signs in favor of Kavanaugh, who has been accused by multiple women of sexual assault. The tiny group of demonstrators chanted “zero proof” and, inexplicably, “drain the swamp!”
The women also shouted at Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) because he worked with Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) on the agreement to delay the Kavanaugh vote for an FBI background check.
“Flake the Snake and Coons deserve each other!” the women yelled, even though Flake has said he will vote for Kavanaugh.
So far, there hasn’t been any condemnation of the small pro-Kavanaugh protest from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The poor turnout at Thursday’s demonstration stands in strong contrast to hundreds of events held the night before. Anna Galland, executive director of MoveOn Civic Action, noted, “100s of vigils tonight. Minot, ND, Portland ME, Anchorage, Charleston WV, more, on 48 hours’ notice.”

The public opposes Kavanaugh’s nomination, and those who believe he does not belong on the court have come out in droves to make their voices heard.
