Little known fact, during hunting season and near Halloween, deer will often disguise themselves as Mourning Doves to fool the hunters. Nature is cool.

(well... except in my sister's neighborhood where they are bold and out during the day but the big herds are crepuscular... lol) so you will have to check that site near dawn and dusk. Since it is a live youtube, the older footage falls away eventually. When I started it up around 8:15 am ET and took it all the way back to the beginning, it was showing the area in the dark (with an IR beam shining on the lick). Easing it forward, which would probably be about 7ish am, I finally found a section where a deer was out and about and eventually went away.

I would probably check it between 4 - 6 pm ET this afternoon when they will probably be out and about again before sunset (sunset here in Philly is just before 6:30 pm ET as a note for myself).

but the deer have always left and all I get is a couple little birds scrounging in the leaf litter for bugs. I’m gonna keep trying! Someday I’ll see a deer, I swear.
