There is still just one political Party in America that can claim to be for the People.

And it is not the Republican Party.

For as long as I can remember, the Republican Party has been deceiving their members on a massive, almost unimaginable, scale. They have been able to convince many of them that taxcuts are good for them and all social programs are bad. They have been taught to hate government. But, they continue to use our public schools, our public roads, the post office, etc. Sometimes, they don't seem to understand what "government" means? They believe government is only existing to take money from them, the deserving, and give it to those that are undeserving.

But there are needs and inequities in our society. We could try to ignore them and put a wall around ourselves, I suppose? But how long could we survive in a world like that? It is unrealistic and naive.

The "government" created by the Founders was a "government" of, by, and for the People. It is the Democratic Party that comes closest to the Founders' vision, in my opinion.

There has always been a struggle between the haves and the have-nots, the powerful against the weak. It is the struggle of humankind. The Democratic Party has much to be criticized for, but its heart and its compass have been in the right place, in my opinion.

They are the party of fear, hatred and so called "Christians". They are the party of greed, power and the rich.

And that's to mention a few . . .

You have to educate them on reality that our bridges are falling down, our water infrastructure is over a 100 years old in most parts, low skill labor jobs is not the way to go.

We know, almost with 100% certainty, that the Republican Party would never espouse such ideas.
