2. It's a one-day story, no distraction from the elections.

People are getting their undies in a bunch about distractions that aren't distractions unless you let them become distractions.

3. She's not very savvy and would be a terrible nominee

Remember how quickly she jumped on that "ZOMG! It was rigged" nonsense about the primaries from Donna Brazille's book and agreed with it before it was easily debunked?

Warren has a good voting record, but the more I see of her, the more I realize that she's a bonehead at campaigning and should never be on a presidential ticket.

She's handled this entire Native American thing terribly for six years running. It could have been put away as a nontroversy by a more adept politician.

No sense of the big picture and forever on the defensive.

When I heard she injected herself today it was difficult not to laugh. She handed Trump something that his base will savor

What the hell are we all supposed to do? Shut up, sit down, do nothing, discuss nothing until after the election?

What do the Democrats gain by her by doing this now? I am not sure what the point was. This was a rather selfish move on her part, IMO.

9. Watch her video. It was very strong and positive. And it puts Trump in a nasty, racist light.

I don't see this hurting us in November.

She did two things at once: Took the issue out of Trump's and her opponent's hands, and made Trump eat his words and renege on a promise/bet all at the same time, making him look like a coward and a liar. Not only that, Liz Warren even managed to turn this entire fiasco into a referendum on Trump's and the Republicans' racism overall. What is not to like about that?
