5. first house bill in new congress..

House bill #1 is usually a procedural bill, so I grant you it isn't the correct number. But the first bill the new congress should pass is a voting rights bill.

Symbolic, to be sure. But what better symbolism for a new majority to take?

I think the gop's opening bill was repeal of aca. Hmm, taking away healthcare vs assuring democracy.

I know where I am.....

3. This !!! With so many close elections where voter rolls are being hacked this should be a priority

... for dems.

A big one, non partisan one ... how do they think they're going to win when they can't get the vote if its close!?

7. Non partisan?

Surely that was a typo? Rs would never voluntarily give up there one chance at winning elections.

9. It is but due to Nader it is now harder to sue to stop it

Due to Nader, the voting rights act's pre-clearance provisions were gutted. I will never forgive Nader for being an arrogant idiot
