As I read the horror story of his trip to the Saudi embassy, it hit me that there's been some discussion of WHY but I haven't seen anything on WHY NOW.
MBS is weeks away from Davos in the Dessert and he decides to take a risk like this. Even without the grizzly details, Khashoggi going missing from the embassy would still be a story. So...easy to wait 5-6 weeks. Why not wait ?
What was so pressing that it had to be NOW ?
I don't know. Has anyone seen anything that would address the urgency on MBS' part ?
