One thing about all these big houses many have been building, they have ground floor living and/or dining rooms to turn into bedrooms for grandparents and others who can't climb stairs. I expect many ground-floor master suites would be turned over to elders while parents went upstairs with the kids.

But not everyone has those options. Democrats need to realize every bit as much as Republicans that in future they may need to use their living room and/or garage as sleeping space and their own retirement and childrens' college funds to pay medical bills (as long as they last). And not all that far into the future, either, if enough don't wake up.

The people plotting to pull this off are not consulting our wishes, they are plotting to overthrow them.
