Make a plan as to where, when and how you plan to vote and do it. Good luck out there.

(989 posts)I have to go with fewer alarms on that chili, though. My system doesn't tolerate the heat like it did when I was a young'un .

(3,569 posts)Tomorrow it goes in the mail. Wish my vote did more, but I live in a weird district with the carpetbagger McClintock. I am voting for Feinstein however. I think we need a powerful senator for CA.

(108,980 posts)my husband and our son and I had a nice dinner . . . and then we sat around the family room and I read out loud info on candidates and issues from the Progressive Voters guide.
Not all the initiative choices were obvious, and some of the races only included 2 Democrats and no Republicans -- so the guide was useful in helping us wade through the choices.
Tomorrow I'm taking all three of our ballots to a drop box. Next week we can go online and make sure our ballots got checked in. If not, we could get replacements.
The first time around with vote-by-mail I missed going to a polling place, but I like the way we do it now.

(11,885 posts)Encourage others to vote too. Many people running from cruz now, and he's in trouble this election, especially if people go vote. He's hated by many , even his own people in his party want him to lose and leave. He's not a popular guy after voting for their tax scam and kicking millions more off of their health care plan, and saying nothing against caging little children , and losing them in the system on purpose to hurt them and their families, and voting for a sexual predator and possible gang rapist onto the Supreme Court. There is no place in our government for corrupt liars and criminals like these people are. Vote people.

(22,977 posts)We have a veritable butt load of amendments this year and while some are clear cut our lazy ass Legislature has lumped together some crazy items to try and confuse voters on others.
Voting starts on Thursday here but I usually wait until the last week of early voting before heading to the polls.
