Saudi King And Crown Prince Call Khashoggi's Son To Say Sorry

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman—whose international reputation has taken a battering over allegations he ordered the murder of writer Jamal Khashoggi—tried to make amends Sunday by calling the son of Jamal Khashoggi to offer his condolences. King Salman also made a call to Khashoggi's son, Salah, according to Saudi state media. Salah Khashoggi has reportedly been under a travel ban and barred from leaving the kingdom since last year as a result of his father’s criticism of the government. It's not known what was said in the calls other than an offering of condolences. Salah hasn't yet offered his version of events. The calls come after leaked surveillance footage showed a member of Prince Mohammed’s entourage was at the Istanbul consulate just ahead of Khashoggi’s arrival.
