Andrew Gillum is the epitome of why I am so proud to be a Democrat

I already knew that Andrew Gillum was someone to keep your eyes on, but after watching the highlights of his debate against the wannabe Trump clone, Rick Desantis, I was simply left in awe with the way he beat down Desantis over and over again. And the thing is, Gillum beat the snot out of Desantis with dignity and intelligence. I don't know how many times I thought Desantis was about to burst into tears.

I haven't seen anyone handle Republican bullies in a long time like the way that Andrew Gillum handles assholes like Desantis and Trump. This guy was magnificent, one of the best counter punchers, if you will, that I've ever seen in my life. After watching him beat Desantis to a pulp (and also Trump at the same time), Gillum gives me more hope than ever about the future of the Democratic Party. As the late great James Brown said, "Whoaaaaaa! I feel good!"

He will do good by the people in my state. DeSantis looked like a whipped little boy, constantly wincing, moving around (like to deflect Gillum's words with his shoulders), interrupting, repeating the same lies over and over. God, I hope the repugs don't steal this state again!!

5. Gillum just oozes charisma.

I'd never heard of him until this election. This guy is as good as PBO and has oratory skills up the yang. Up there with JFK and RFK in looks and likeability too.

He could go far unless the disgusting Repugs can come up w something in his background.

Just like you, I never knew much about him until this election, and I agree with you that Andrew Gillum could go far. I could enjoy watching him dismantling repukes all day and twice on Sunday.

10. Desantis came equipped with talking points and Gillum showed up armed with the truth, experience,

and actual desire for real, positive change for Floridians. Desantis looked incredibly uncomfortable each time he was faced with actual facts. He literally looked like he wanted to run off the stage every time a truth was stated. Even he doesn't believe in what he's done, or wants to do for the citizens of Florida, or he wouldn't be so visibly uncomfortable each time he's faced with the truth of it. He looked like he felt exposed... and he was.
