PSA: Remember, the Media Wants a Horse Race.

Until the election, you are going to hear things that will stress you out. Never mind that noise. Focus on voting and getting everyone you know to vote (and to the polls if necessary). Turn off the news. The reality is, there is only one poll that matters: the election.

The media wants a tight race because they believe it will keep everyone watching the news non-stop until the election. Don't reward them with your viewership which gives them billions in advertising. READ the news. Skip the polls. Focus on issues when talking with friends and family. And Get Out the Vote!

guessing the news / politics ratings are at an all time high.

Do the media outlets secretly want trump to stay in office because of the shock coverage?

It would be a shame to find out that this was the case but I would not be shocked.

I'll fast-forward through the maps and poll numbers, because I know it will only stress me out more and there is nothing I can do about it anyway. The past two years have been exhausting enough, I don't need to create more anxiety for myself.
