Trump is brazen enough to lie about Congressional Republicans working on a tax cut when Congress isn't even in session, so let's take this to its logical endpoint:

Just before midterms, Trump is going to lie and blame it on Democrats when the fake tax cut doesn't happen.

Not one will call him on his lie, and Fox news dwellers will actually believe that the Democrats thwarted their tax cut. Nothing Trump says can be believed.
