These images seems like a gift for Trump just in time for the midterms.

(988 posts)We rely on the press to get the word out or counter the lies that Trump and GOP push.
Maybe our people are just in their districts talking only to their people and we just dont have visibility.
Certainly it seems like the Presidents LIES are what is pushed out there.

(508 posts)The origins of the this particular mass migration would be a very challenging subject for investigative journalism. The timing could not be better for Republicans.

(129,030 posts)given Democrats are in the minority in Congress? Congress is in recess. There have been plenty of messages out over the past couple months about the CURRENT refugee children in internment camps and the big bad wolf can huff and puff but this latest "caravan" is about 1600 miles away from the Texas border and won't be there anytime soon.
Or is this just another divisive thread a couple weeks before the election.
major debacle
(508 posts)It is a sincere question from someone who sees a distinct lack of resistance from Democrats in Congress to Trump's bullying his way toward his vision of what the US should be.
Happy now?

(129,030 posts)I guess you are not looking at the right places. And a little "Civics 101" is in order methinks.
All the bluster is not going to change the fact that the majority of Americans don't agree with the path this country has taken. The difference will be getting those folks to the polls (despite all the barriers, literally being erected right now like moving and/or closing polling places, threatening people transporting others to the polls, purging voter rolls, illegally requiring extra documents to early vote, throwing out absentee ballots for nonsensical reasons, etc..., so that folks can exercise their franchised right.

Pretty standard for Trump. Threaten nuclear war against NK, then stage a photo op and say you solved the crisis (without mentioning you created it).
We shall see how gullible American voters are.

(146,314 posts)The answer to your question is that they're all campaigning for their seats right now. So, they're considering what they say very carefully. Different Democrats will address the issue in different ways, depending on their assessment of their constituencies.
What are your expectations? What do you think they should say? Does that apply to every district?

But seriously, what do you want Democrats to do about it? What *can* they do about it?
