High particulate levels are mostly found in the third world - particularly the least developed countries - because of the high dust levels found in areas with no paved roads.
All the more so in large cities where most streets are unpaved.
Dust storms, moreover, afflict poor, desert countries most and also contributes, as well as primitive agriculture, etc.
Yes, particulates are an important type of air pollution - but by no means the only one.
