I've been polled at least six times this cycle

That does not count calls that I do not take when I'm at work. It is probably more than all the previous elections combined, and I'm 60!

What's the deal? I can't be the only red state, 55+ white male that they want to survey.

It can be annoying, but I feel I need to speak out for my demographic so I let them know that I already voted straight "D".

If you pick it up, they know it's a good number and they'll keep calling, plus sell your number to other places.

Got a robo call or survey saying it was from Owego so I started singing Owego into the wild blue yonder climbing high into the sun. Don't know if anyone stayed on the line.

It was a push poll and they kept asking questions that puffed up Ron DeSantis and denigrating Andrew Gillum. I called the pollster out on it and she said they had to ask the questions they were given. I answered one or two more questions then had enough of the bullshit. I told the young woman I knew it was not her fault - it was a paid polling company - but I was tired of the Republican bullshit and hung up.

I had previously told her that I would not vote for Ron DeSantis if he held a gun to my head but she still had to ask their dumb ass questions.

Usually I like doing polls to skew the results towards more liberal results but I really have no patience left. The day they called I had already sat through a conference call to hear the terms of my mother's will and was concerned about my husband making the second trip in two days to carry supplies over to his siblings in Panama City some of whom still have no power.

I'm frustrated that I can't put in time for any campaign - I still have to help my sister clear Mom's house and have to deal with the business of settling her estate. And I am still worried about my in-laws who are cleaning up after Hurricane Michael.
