**BREAKING FLORIDA SENATE A RATED SURVEY USA POLL- Nelson (Democrat) 49% Scott Repugnant (41%)

3-term incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson leads Republican challenger (and current Florida Governor) Rick Scott by 8 points, and Democrat Andrew Gillum leads Republican Ron DeSantis by 7 points in the race for the open Governor's seat that Scott has vacated, according to SurveyUSA research conducted for Bay News 9 Tampa and News 13 Orlando.

Compared to an identical SurveyUSA poll 6 weeks ago, Nelson is up 10 points, Gillum is up 3 points. Nelson had trailed Scott by 2 points on 09/11/18, now leads 49% to 41% today 10/22/18. Both contests are fluid; there may yet be a swing back to the Republicans before votes are counted in 14 days.

In the contest for the Attorney General of Florida, Republican Ashley Moody had led by a nominal 1 point on 09/11/18, now trails Democrat Sean Shaw by a nominal 1 point today, 44% Shaw to 43% Moody.
