Is it just me or does anyone else have a sense of dread with all the talk of a big blue wave

that the media is going to put the hex on us again, and by next week they'll be reporting that the gaps in all the polls are closing drastically, setting us up for one hell of another nailbiter election?

Sometimes I just wish they would shut the fuck up about all the polls. God I wish Nov 6th was tomorrow.

There is nothing more satisfying than when you convince someone to vote Democratic who wasn't even planning to vote at all.

And they will push that many Americans are very upset about the awful way
good old judge Kavanaugh was treated by that angry mob of democrats and
they will support the GOP this November.

Various indicators are more positive this time than they were in 2016. The nagging feeling I had in 2016 is not there this time.

I don't watch cable news so I don't care what they say.

all were at 47-48% at this point in their presidencies, and the first two lost a whole lot of House seats so it's not a reliable indicator.

all the votes are counted correctly and fairly. And we have no guarantee of that happening.

But polls and pundits don't win or lose elections. Two things I'm not doing:

  • Spiking the ball on the 20-yard line.

  • Folding my tent and giving up before election day.

I expect Republican cheating -- hell, they're doing it right out in the open. And the Republican base is hugely fired up. So we have to out-hustle and out-number them. We have to be relentless in getting out the Democratic vote to prevent a Red Tide from poisoning the entire country.

Just vote. In a couple weeks, we'll find out if we still have hope.
