They need a credentialed but easy to slap around Repub. And the smarter repubs are smart enough not to do most MSNBC shows (except Morning Joe, where they generally get by without challenge).

The are reading stuff the producers are putting in the teleprompters. The topics are predetermined. They make very handsome salaries for performing these tasks. I like to think there are several on MSNBC that call their own shots-especially at night
