1. There are a million excuses

When the pressure isn't on oil, they blame the refineries.

But for the latest rise, I'm going to bet it's supposedly related to possible sanctions against the Saudis for their outrageous behavior, and the potential for Saudi Arabia to make good on its threat to withdraw its oil from the market in a "shoot ourselves in the foot" retaliatory measure.

2. Of course, he'll blame the pig in the sty. Or the dog in the trash can.

Or the refugee on the road to somewhere. He'll blame anything but what's really causing the rise in gas prices. He'll lie because he can.

3. Well, if the price of gas had to rise, then the timing couldn't be better

with the election just a matter of days away.

If the prices had been falling for the last few months, the Asshole in Chief would be bragging that he was the reason. At least now the finger can be, and SHOULD be, pointed at him for the rise in prices over the last few months.
